East Leonard Christian Reformed Church Part Time Administrative Assistant Job Description
The church administrative assistant attends to the many different office and administrative duties of the church including general office management, payroll and accounting. This position serves under the churches administrative committee and the Pastor.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Church Administrative Assistant
Including but not Limited to:
o Answer and route incoming phone calls, emails and correspondence.
o Bookkeeping (accounts payable/payroll/financial reports)
o Create and publish weekly church bulletin.
o Maintain church membership records and directory.
o Prepare and update church calendar and schedules (including website calendar).
o Facilities use and Food Pantry recordkeeping.
o Distribute minutes, finalize agendas, and attend to all materials from committees and organizations.
o Occasional website maintenance and social media posting.
General Requirements of the Church Administrative Assistant
o Ability to work independently and meet timelines.
o Effective communications skills. Both verbally and in writing.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Quickbooks.
o Must be comfortable with technology and general accounting and data processing duties.
Education and Experience
o High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
o Associates or Bachelor’s degree encouraged.
o Prior clerical or administrative experience (including bookkeeping and payroll).
Hours and Compensation
o The part time administrative assistant position is 20 to 24 hours per week.
o Range of compensation for this position is $15.00 to $18.00.
